Sustainability doesn’t need to be all-or-nothing.
Sometimes, the smallest office shifts are the ones that quietly make the biggest difference.
Here are my favourite low-lift, eco-friendly habits that don't slow you down, and may even simplify your workday.
1. Use refillable pens + recycled notebooks
A simple swap that keeps single-use plastics out of the bin.
2. Power down once a day
Turn off monitors and power strips at night or during breaks.
Saves energy and prolongs your gear’s life.
3. Go paperless (where it makes sense)
Not everything needs to be printed.
Use cloud-based systems for contracts, invoices, and meeting notes.
4. Batch coffee or tea breaks
Less water and electricity when you boil once and sip throughout the morning.
5. Embrace second-hand office supplies
A great excuse to browse vintage mugs, upcycled holders, or refurbished tech.
Small changes, big message
These habits say: I care.
To your clients, your team, and yourself.
They add up, and set a tone of intention in your workspace.
What are your eco-friendly office habits?
